Cody is defined by its many year-round recreational
opportunities.
Summers here offer beautiful mountain landscapes that can best be enjoyed on the many hiking paths in our area. Or if you prefer rent a mountain bike or take a trail ride on horseback.
Fly-fishing, kayaking and white water rafting are the predominant water sports offered in Cody.
The Winter months here also offer many opportunities for outdoor fun. Sleeping Giant, Cody’s local ski area is on the North Fork of the Shoshone River. Downhill ski, snowboard or just come and hang out with the locals in the lodge. Enjoy cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing at Pahaska Teepee. Snow machines are also very popular in Cody. Machines can be rented, it’s the best way to see Yellowstone National Park.
For visitors that prefer indoor activities don’t miss the Buffalo Bill Center Of The West, (with it's signature event, The Rendezvous Royale), the Cody library, the Paul Stock Recreation Center and the Riley Hockey Arena.
